Happy New Year

I chose to play Love Letter on New Year's Day while others are intent on a game of mahjong. This film has touched my heart once AGAIN. It seems like each year I discover something I didn't know about the film before. What stays consistent is my love of the film and the tears that naturally comes with watching it. This year I discovered that the book that Itsuki Fujii (boy) gives to Itsuki (girl) is actually Proust's In Search of Time, and it is also where he sketched a drawing of the girl on the back of the library card.
